Indiana
walleye will be working with local clubs and lake associations to raise
money to help our Indiana DNR stock large 6”-8” walleye fingerlings
across the state. The IDNR has been stocking Winona lake, Sylvan lake and
Crooked lake for the last three years with the larger fingerlings and have
seen great success. Illiana
Walleye club and Perch America have been stocking Wolf Lake with the
larger fingerlings and have turned it into a fantastic fishery. The
PNA club out of South Bend has helped stock Dewert lake with 1,500 6”
fingerlings. Simonton
lake Association and Michiana Walleye Association has stocked Simonton
lake for the past few years with the advanced fingerlings. Big
Turkey Lake association has stocked the advanced fingerlings since 1999. Friends
of Fishing have been stocking Long and Loomis lake near Valparaiso, and
have received a permit to stock Flint lake. Indiana
Walleye is looking to help raise money for these advanced fingerlings
through corporate and private means. Anyone interested in helping can
