best fish : 52" muskie 30" walleye 36" pike

I am really getting into walleye fishing. I still consider myself a rookie on fishing in general but enjoy learning . the reason I am wanting to learn more about walleye fishing is that it is a good sportfish that can be caught around here and I go to canada once a year and, although I primarily pike and muskie fish, I have started to get into walleye fishing. I am also taking up crappie fishing as well .... need guidance though...

I have a lot to learn but I am a willing student. I go to lake erie at least once a year on a walleye trip ...sometimes charter and sometimes with a pro from elwood ( rick cole). I have a couple nice fish stories about fishing with cole. in canada , I am learning to jig but it is tough for me to deal with the walleye's soft hit ...I am a lot more used to pike hammering the lure right next to the boat. I have caught a lot of walleye while trying to cast or troll for pike. jigging is something I just dont do enough (once or twice a year) to get decent at it.

I have a trailer up on chapman lake near warsaw and would welcome any info on that lake. I have caught bass, crappie , perch, bluegill, catfish, and pike on chapman but have not got a walleye yet. I have seen some nice ones caught on chapman but not by me. I mainly spend my time on chapman throwing the kids around on a tube or floating around enjoying a liquid refreshment or two. I purchased a 1996 20' sylvan pontoon elite package (not fishing package) in the fall and am looking forward to spending time on it . I am between fishing boats. I have a 12 ft. boat (row boat) that I put a trolling motor on in the summer to do my fishing and I am looking for a small motor for it ...hey bestshot,.any suggestions on where to go for one since we are practically neighbors???

I enjoy my wife & kids and spending time with them ... my oldest boy has been to canada with me and the youngest is going this year...

My other interests are basketball, football, and camping. my kids keep me quite busy during the school year with sports and other activities but I look forward to spring my kids dont play baseball or softball so it really helps us all enjoy the spring /summer together.

As far as the BEERMAN name .... well, I have been known to throw back quite a few cold ones. my first two years at ball state I think I majored in beer and euchre!!!
