2008
St Joe river walleye stocking
Michiana Walleye Association & its supporters
worked with the IDNR to stock 9,800 ....6"-8"
walleye fingerlings in the St Joe River.
Thanks to the PNA Fishermans club # 83, Bob Evans
Restaurants, John Fraley, Micheal BeachyDDS, River
Valley Sportsmans Club, Michiana Steelheaders,
Central Park Bait & their patrons, Shelby's
Machine shop, Marathon station, Wylands Marine,
Midway Bait & Tackle and their patrons & Timar
construction for helping the MWA to raise the
funds needed to do the 2008 stocking.
This
years goal was $5,000.oo, our 2009 goal is
$15,600.00
Thanks to the
St Joe Valleye Bass Masters for putting on a
benifit tournament that will be held on October
26th. A portion of the proceeds will go to the
2009 stocking.
The Need for Speed

Pro fisherman Ted
Takasaki with a monster ‘eye that fell for the old
speed trick. Only so many fish are in the mood to
bite at any given time, and Takasaki and fellow
pro Tom Keenan are big believers in covering water
quickly looking for those fish. Once a pod of fish
is found, slowing down with finesse tactics can
often milk more bites.

Just look at these
smiles. Fellow Indiana walleye member wanted to
put his girls on some walleye, and he did just
that.
Rusty said: "Got
on
the water this morning at about 8. The girls
kicked some butt. I didn't fish allot, but did
fish some. I think I caught 1 short. However, they
caught 7 keepers, and several shorts. They had a
blast."
 Some
people wonder if it's worth joining the message
board and sharing information, again Rusty says: "I
tell you all what though. I owe allot of it to you
guys that fish here all the time. I didn't want to
bring them if the fishing was going to be slow.
So, I watch to see when you guys that put all the
time on the water, get on a good bite. I
appreciate the posts and reports that you all put
