Michiana Walleye Associations 2nd annual Open House

As spring rapidly approaches we start to think about the 2008 fishing season. We would like to invite everyone to Michiana Walleye Associations 2nd annual Open House that’s open to the public. Because last year was such a huge success we decided to make it a two day event.
It will be Sat. March 29th 10 am - 4 pm and Sun. March 30th 10 am - 2 pm

There will be speakers and seminars covering walleye, smallmouth and perch fishing on Lake Erie, Detroit River, and other area waters. There will be tackle vendors, raffles, and much more. Food will be available.

Sat 29th:
Aquatic biologist Len Kring will discuss the St Joe river fishery

2005 Cabela's National Championship 5th placed team of Randy Gaines and Mike Rhoades will have a question and answer session on walleye fishing.

Capt Rick Millete from Erie Quest Charters will hold a seminar on walleye, smallmouth and perch fishing on Lake Erie.

Randy Gaines and Mike Rhoades will do a session on Detroit river fishing.

Dave Peffley from Peffley's Canadian Wilderness Camp will have a presentation.

There will be an antique tackle appraiser on hand. ( Les Bontrager )

Sun 30th:

Conservation Officer Mike Fox will discuss rules and regs

2005 Cabela's National Championship 5th placed team of Randy Gaines and Mike Rhoades will have a question and answer session on walleye fishing.

The South Bend Sail and Power Squadron will be conducting FREE Boat safety inspections on March 30th, 10am to 2pm. The inspections are US Coast Guard approved, you must have all safety equipment, ie. Personal floatation devices, fire extinguishers, etc. on board. Current registration for boat is required. RSVP for appt. or info to Elsa Hack @ ( 574 ) 340-8289. Appts aren’t mandatory but guarantee you a specific time.
